We collect information you provide directly, information generated as you use the platform, and information from third parties who help us operate the service.

• Account details: name, email address, phone number, password, role (student, parent, tutor, or school), and date of birth.
• Learning data: subjects studied, exam/concours preparation track, quiz and practice results, XP and streaks, live class attendance, and messages exchanged with tutors or our AI Tutor.
• Payment data: billing details and subscription tier; card and mobile money transactions are processed by our licensed payment partners, who share with us only the confirmation and amount, never full card or mobile money credentials.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser or app version, device identifiers, and pages or features used, collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies.
• Tutor verification data: identity documents, qualifications, and background information submitted during the tutor application process.

We use personal data to:

• Create and secure your account, and provide the Learn, Practice, Exams & Concours, AI Tutor, and Live Classes features.
• Personalize learning paths, track progress, and match students with suitable tutors.
• Process subscription payments and send billing communications.
• Verify tutor identity and qualifications before they are listed on the platform.
• Send service updates, respond to support requests, and, where you have opted in, send product news.
• Detect fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations in Cameroon and elsewhere we operate.

TutorConect is built for students, many of whom are minors preparing for national examinations. Where a student is under the age of majority in their country of residence, a parent or legal guardian must create or approve the account and consents to this Privacy Policy on the student's behalf.

Parents may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting support@tutorconect.com. We collect no more student data than is reasonably necessary to provide tutoring, practice, and exam-preparation features.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, understand how the platform is used, and measure the performance of our website. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit parts of the platform.

We share limited personal data with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract, including:

• Payment and mobile money processors, to complete subscription transactions.
• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, to store and serve platform data securely.
• AI service providers, to power the AI Tutor's answers, explanations, and study recommendations.
• Analytics providers, to help us understand and improve how the platform is used.

We do not sell personal data. We share it only: with the service providers listed above; between a student, their parent/guardian, and the tutors or schools they are matched with, as needed to deliver tutoring; when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TutorConect and its users; or with your consent.

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the platform, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Depending on your country of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@tutorconect.com; we will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

TutorConect is headquartered in Douala, Cameroon, and works with service providers located in other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we require providers to protect it consistently with this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our platform evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you through the platform or by email.
