Terms of Service

By registering for or using TutorConect, you confirm that you can form a binding contract, or that a parent or legal guardian has done so on your behalf where you are a minor, and that you will comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Where a student is a minor, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for the account and its use.

Some features, including Live Classes and premium modules, require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment partners to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method, including via mobile money.

• Subscription fees are billed in advance for the selected billing period and, unless stated otherwise, do not include a refund for partial periods.
• We may change subscription pricing; changes apply from your next billing cycle and we will notify you in advance.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Share your account, cheat on assessments, or misrepresent your identity, age, or qualifications.
• Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to access, disrupt, or reverse-engineer parts of the Platform you are not authorized to use.
• Use the Platform for any purpose other than learning, teaching, or supporting a student's education.

Tutors must complete our identity and qualification verification process before being listed, keep their profile information accurate, and interact with students professionally and safely. TutorConect may suspend or remove a tutor who violates these Terms or our tutor conduct standards.

The AI Tutor provides automated explanations, practice, and study recommendations to support your learning. It is a study aid, not a substitute for a qualified teacher, and its answers may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Use your judgment and verify important academic information with a teacher or tutor.

The Platform, including its content, courses, exercises, branding, and software, is owned by TutorConect or its licensors and protected by intellectual property law. You may use it only for your personal, non-commercial learning or teaching purposes and may not copy, redistribute, or resell it without our written permission.

You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or where required by law, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you beforehand except where urgent action is needed.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TutorConect is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Douala, Cameroon, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms as our Platform evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you through the Platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
